Storytelling Programs

Jewish Programs:

  1. Laughter and Tears: Enchanting folk tales and legends from the Jewish tradition, both ancient and modern. *

  2. Chanukah Storytelling: An unforgettable program of holiday storytelling. Stories from Isaac Bashevis Singer, Chelm stories and contemporary authors. Perfect addition for Chanukah parties!

  3. Circus on the Streets: A new program of Sarah's family stories set in the colorful Lower East Side of New York City in the 1920's and 30's. Colorful and memorable, plus lots of fun! *

Holiday Programs:

  1. Halloween:
    1. Not-So-Scary Stories For Halloween: A wonderful assortment of less scary stories for young children. Thrills without the chills and lots of audience participation.

    2. Things That Go Bump in the Night: A wonderful assortment of scary stories for older children. Lots of thrills and chills and audience participation.

      Both programs are great for libraries, parties and lots of other Halloween events!

  2. Christmas and Chanukah and more
    1. Festival of Lights: Brighten up the darkness with stories and songs from the Winter festivals of light.

  3. Valentine's Day:
    1. From the Heart: Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a Rootabaga love story by Carl Sandburg. Enjoy lots of other cut and tell, tell and draw and puppet stories plus silly poetry by Jack Prelutsky.

Other Programs:

  1. Spunky Women: Try something different with these humorous stories about princesses who don’t need a prince, outrageous tall-tale heroines and other unforgettable women.

  2. Fractured Fun: Tickle your funny bones with all kinds of fractured folk and fairy tales, including many from “The Stinky Cheeseman”. Become a storyteller and help tell more tales.

  3. Give Peace a Chance: Audiences will be moved with tales of peace from many countries and cultures. *

  4. Stories From Around the World: Exciting stories from many countries and cultures (can be a mixture of countries or just one) *

  5. Literary Tales: Stories from your favorite immortal authors like Hans Christian Andersen, Carl Sandburg, Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allan Poe..the choice is yours! *

  6. Tales with special themes: Want a program with stories about giants, dragons, tricksters, fools, witches and more. You name it and I’ve got it!

  7. Storytelling for Pre-schoolers: Special stories for children 3-6yrs. old. Great for birthday parties and other special events!

  8. Raining Cats and Dogs: Stories and songs about our two favorite pets. An entertaining mixture of folk and fairy tales, plus an original story about Sarah's cat Smokey.

  9. ONCE UPON A TIME: An exciting assortment of folk and fairy tales from the fairy tale land of Germany. Told with great enthusiasm and knowledge by someone who has been there many times!
